I just had a ten-minute nap.

When I was younger, napping was something I could never manage to do.

Napping was a talent I picked up when the boys were young. I remember that the fatigue was so much that I could almost sleep standing up. In recent years, I have managed to sit down, and if the mood struck me, take ten to nap.

Today, we were watching Daniel Tiger and the mood struck. MK says I was definitely sleeping. I felt as if I was still awake, hearing everything, but just relaxing. Now that I stood up, I realize that I was sleeping. I am feeling a bit groggy. Luckily, that will pass.

The weather is odd. The sun has been trying to shine, doing its utmost to tear through the cloud cover. The humidity level, due to the intense rain last evening, is heavy. It is surprisingly unpleasant when you walk out the door. The temps are pushing sixty and it seems much warmer.

The charges are eating us out of house and home. By 12:30 PM, we were on our second lunch. It is funny how they seem to need to tank up when they are at our house: cream of wheat with butter and real maple syrup, peanut butter and jelly on Brioche bread, raisins, craisins, and more. It was a tanking up day.

It is a bit quieter now. Our youngest charge is in the Pack N Play after reading Go Dog Go and a book about Marcel the Moose.

Now for sure I need a nap.
