Let her rip, Nancy!

Yes, Nancy couldn’t contain herself. She took the President’s speech and proceeded, in a calculated and well-thought out manner, to rip up the President’s speech. Under normal circumstances, this intelligent, classy, and thoughtful person would never have done this. Never in a thousand years would I have thought that something like this would occur. We have had our political issues, but generally one in the national political arena would behave in a respectful manner.

Nancy couldn’t help herself. Was she wrong? Was she right in doing what she did?

Let’s take an objective look at the situation. It seemed like only moments before the fact checkers came up with the results of the speech and what it was saying. Once again, our president took it upon himself to lie and spew out what he himself has often made fun of, ‘fake news.’

Nancy has been criticized for having behaved in a manner unbecoming her position. If that is the case, what is the excuse for the highest office holder in the land. It seems to me that the person in the Oval Office should set the example and, if that is the case, we certainly have some serious issues.

I know that there are those who believe in our leader and in what he is saying, but I am confident that history is going to deal with our era in a way similar to that of the McCarthy era. It is not going to be pretty. Those currently in power are going to leave a legacy that will be anything but kind for the reprehensible actions that they have perpetrated on Mother Nature, the world in general, the poor, the sick, the minorities, the immigrants, and the country in general.

In a normal situation, Nancy would never have done what she did. Most assuredly, times are anything but normal. Vive Nancy Pelosi. The opinions contained in this post are mine and mine alone.
