Mother’s Day 2015

Deerfield / IL / Etats-Unis - 5/7/15Stewie and I took a short walk, it was raining, so the poor guy had to just settle or that. I intend to take him out for a Sunday, Mother’s Day stroll later.

I settled in to doing my weekly grading. We are now done with the major textbook work and headed into the coming week with the second Exam.

MK got up and we started a nice Mother’s day with a good cup of coffee and the newspaper. She really wanted to have a stress-free day so we don’t even have plans with the progeny. As it turns out, we saw the HP Koerners last night as we babysat for them so that they could have an evening out, and we shall see the Glencoe Koerners at a swim meet. We see just about all of them all the time and as she so aptly puts it, “Every day is Mother’s Day.” After a nice breakfast with some cherry turnovers, we read the newspapers a bit before having our youngest showed up with his girlfriend. So, despite no formal plans, we are seeing them all within the weekend! We had a wonderful time at our second breakfast with a piece of coffee cake, some more coffee, and the great company of two wonderful people.

The day continued and included that mini-swim meet for Samantha and a dinner at a new Indian Restaurant in the area. We are not as well acquainted with Indian cuisine as we would like to be. Our friends CC and Tony are, so we are hoping that we can get a better handle on this area with their help.

Despite the rainy situation, it is a very relaxing day and hopefully all that MK expects it to be! I am hoping that everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day 2015!
